Sarien Uhlihul (sketch)

An extremely rare and powerful variant of an uhlihul (illust/103620330) born when one consumes a large amount of mercury, and survives. The creatures mutated body bursts open and light escapes from it. The liquid metal contained in its neck also explodes out.

The Sarien uhlihul finds a lair at the highest point it can find in its territory and begins work. From the endless mercury flowing from it, it they create diseases and localized natural disasters with the goal of killing or driving out all life in the area. Then, which the same metal, replace what was lost with creatures it creates and transmogrifies into organic matter. Occasionally, the uhlihul will make new disasters and wipe out its old creations. What survives is modified make new life.

A sarien uhlihul is terrifyingly strong and disruptive if one is created but established specimens are considered low-threat. They never leave or expand their territory, and anything they make that escapes their range immediately turns into lifeless cinnabar.
