Lumine | 荧

Hello everyone!~
After well over a month of being inactive and not posting new work, I have finally returned!
My reason for it was due to me getting a massive art block which took a long time to get through, and shortly after that I became sick for a bit over a week. But I have recovered and now I am returning to making new drawings once again.
So for this illustration I drew Lumine from Genshin Impact enjoying the cool breeze on a nice sunny day!

Now I know I've drawn yet another Genshin Impact character, but I just love so many of the character designs and really want to draw them myself. So it's hard to not return to making some more Genshin fanart hahaha.
Now I was working on a drawing of Zelda from the Breath of the Wild series, but unfortunately I had lot's of problems trying to come up with the pose, setting and such for it, and that was also when my art block kicked in as well which threw a spanner into the works.
I may return to it and try again, but I also have some other ideas in mind which I would rather do first, and I also want to draw something to enter into a contest as well.

But as for the picture, I had to sudden urge to draw Lumine. I chose Aether over Lumine when I started playing Genshin as I really liked Aether's design. Lumine's is also quite nice don't get me wrong, I just prefer Aether's look more.
The drawing overall went through some changes as I worked to finish it. Had some issues and times where something felt off about it. But eventually I worked it out and got the end result you see here.
I'm also trying some new shading styles for the skin and hair. Hoping it all looks nice and works well with one another.
And the background almost was going to be just a flat colour before I realized how boring it looked and actually came up with a nicer looking background. And thank goodness I did as it makes the illustration as a whole look much nicer.

I'm hoping to get my rhythm back and to be posting work more often now. I'd like to squeeze one more illustration out before the end of year as well.
