Fujiwara no Shoshi
Fujiwara no Shoshi (988-1074) was one of the Emperor Ichijo’s wives in Heian period in Japan. She was a daughter of Fujiwara no Michinaga who was the most famous and powerful aristocrat in Japanese history.
There were some famous ladies-in-waiting like Murasaki Shikibu who was a author of “The tale of Genji” and Izumishikibu in Shoshi’s court.
