The Light Refuses to Cease 2

"I turn away from it, but it refuses to cease.

I won't sacrifice every ounce of my being for a world I'd never truly be apart of.

I just wish to be. Why, am I alone?"

The original feelings of isolation, alienation, that I had felt at the time have mostly subsided. Perhaps because I accept that the way I am will drive some away. I've lost a friend recently, due to it.
But, I must stay true to who I am. For better or worse.
