Manta Ray

The giant oceanic manta ray is the largest type of ray worldwide, found in tropical, subtropical, and temperate waters. It can grow up to 9 meters (30 feet) in length and weigh around 3,000 kilograms (6,600 pounds), with a typical size of 4.5 meters (15 feet). It has a distinctive flattened body with large triangular pectoral fins and cephalic fins that can be rolled up or flared out. Its smooth skin features dark dorsal and white ventral coloring, aiding individual recognition.
