Dawn Dinh

Dawn is an aspiring illustrator from a Vietnamese-American background. She is currently based in New York City.

Her illustration skills are a mix of traditional and digital media, in which ranges from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, watercolor, ink, gouache, oil painting, graphite, and many more creative mediums. Her work mostly consists and elevates themes of Asian identity. Other illustration themes and fields she involves herself in is food, fashion, travel, environmental, conceptual designs, comics, activism, and zines.

She is currently finishing her final year in the Illustration BFA program and has also secured an AAS degree in Illustration from the State University of New York Fashion Institute of Technology. Dawn is also completing three minors in History of Art, Sociology, and Asian Studies. In the future, Dawn hopes to pursue an MFA in Illustration in order share information about her experiences, mentor, and uplift the next generation of illustrators. She also hopes to create a small business and release her own merchandise.

In her spare time, Dawn likes to relax and enjoy new experiences as much as possible when time and her wallet will allow her. Dawn enjoys sightseeing interesting places, trying new cuisines, watching animation shows and films, and engaging in motivational and introspective conversations. She also takes part in hobbies like crafting, cooking, and lifestyle design.
