Avalon Academy - Field Mage
Heads up, next month I'm doing a recap of what I've made in the last 6 months (they are 3 in 1 pictures) + polishing small details to the previous pictures. to end this week, here's a remake of illust/101603582
Lore:
The Avalon Academy is a University newly founded in Akama, a remote Metropolitan island not so far outside Japan that serves as mankind's last treasure...and fortress. There are many faculties available. but beneath that, there's one thing that connects all the faculty: The military academy. A combined alliance of Human and Half-Deity descendants codenamed "Nephilim".
The Army of Avalon Academy combines medieval close-range combats with modern warfare arts as their trademark. That explains why they have the best sword fighters of all. This style has been adopted worldwide, ever since the world faces a heinous invasion by Demons from Hell. Aside from that, they also heavily utilize magic crystal that works like flintstone in most of their military appliance.
but no matter how noble they are, there are some people who still don't trust this unlikely alliance. the circle of the Damned's exposure to the public not only brings an absolute downfall to the believers of the Dark Lord (Satan) himself but also an ancient tragedy of hate between him & the One Lord along with the exposed secrets from the One Lord himself...a tragedy so heart-wrecking that struck the nerves to all human & Nephilims alike. it's only a matter of time until the dark powers of Satan's legion corrupt the morale of the world, but that is also the academy's purpose: the last bastion to mankind's morale when faith fails to preserve it. this is a promise made by the academy's very own overseer (but also a Nephilim) Yukari Ichinose, who has sworn to keep the world away from this grim tragedy between One Lord & mankind because she knows...they know that humanity isn't that bad even after they were forsaken for thousand years.
Unit info: although not an ace as their medic units, the Academy's field mage is second to none. for they are certified Wizards due to their gauntlets installed with an enchanted computer program to fire magic spells. these gauntlets work in 2 ways: a lethal weapon for normal humans, & a magic enhancer to Nephilims. Yes, these programs can work in the same way for ordinary humans, and it is all because of the seifher capacitor in the palm of their hands. that is the secret of every single of their magic gauntlets. from the capacitor, it can execute its spell through its arm's neural network like a lie detector or through a mini voice recognition speaker underneath.
Creator's note: finally just one more for this month! you may notice more egg & oval patterns for the uniform and it looks more like Magiranger since they are all wizards. a modern, certified wizard doesn't have to gain power from nature so i figured i could make the lore as fully science-driven magic like an *irregular series*
